AEC | In the News | 40th Anniversary
ASHEBORO, N.C. — AEC Narrow Fabrics, a family-owned textile company, is marking its 40th anniversary, celebrating four decades of craftsmanship, innovation and generational leadership.
Founded in 1986 by Keith and Jane Crisco, the company — formally known as Asheboro Elastics Corp. — was established with a focus on providing reliable, solution-based textile products. What began as a small operation has grown into a supplier serving both domestic and international customers across multiple markets.

“Reaching 40 years is a deeply meaningful milestone,” said Jeff Crisco, company president and second-generation leader. “This is legacy creation, and we owe it to our employees, partners and customers who have placed their confidence in us over the years.”
Over the past four decades, the company has adapted to changes in the textile industry by refining production processes, investing in innovation and maintaining a focus on quality and customer service, company officials said.
Looking ahead, AEC said it remains committed to developing creative and responsible textile solutions to meet the demands of a changing global marketplace.
The company operates manufacturing facilities in North Carolina, Mexico and El Salvador, serving a range of end markets including automotive, apparel, bedding, medical, military and industrial applications. Its product portfolio includes narrow fabrics used in underwear, intimates, outerwear, athletic wear, hosiery, hats and footwear, as well as industrial strapping and webbing, decorative trims, bindings, ribbons and custom handles for cut-and-sew operations.
